Do unexpected things lead to progress in our civilization？Yeah, definitely. Throughout history, tons of new technologies and the development of human civilization were the result of unpredictable things. Sometimes, unknown viruses also spurred positive developments in the field of medicine. Take this year as an example, we had never expected that Covid-19 would ruin our lives. However, even though we haven't found effective treatments for the virus, I heard that some new supercomputers in Japan which were not scheduled for full operation have been used to model how the virus could travel through the air and help develop new vaccine. I believe all unexpected things we are going through right now will pave the way for us to overcome more difficulties in the future.
